Fabrication Operator – Aluminium & Plastic Extrusion

Location: MK8, Milton Keynes
Salary:  from £12.55 p/h
Job Type: Full-time

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality aluminium and plastic extrusion parts, supplying industries such as automotive, construction, and industrial applications. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Fabrication Operator to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines for aluminium and plastic extrusion parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings, tool offsets, and cutting parameters to ensure precision.
  • Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools such as callipers and micrometres.
  • Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) is advantageous.
  • Experience with measuring instruments such as micrometres and dial indicators.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
