About the Nursery:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced childcare professional to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on young children's development.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Room Leader to take charge of a specific age group within the nursery. You will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education, and creating a positive, stimulating environment for the children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Ensure all children in the room receive high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Oversee the daily routine, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  • Monitor and track children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents/carers.
  • Support and mentor staff, conducting regular observations and providing feedback.
  • Maintain compliance with safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality early years education and fostering children's development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
