Position: Construction Teacher
Location: Milton Keynes 
Contract Type: Full-time - Monday to Friday 

Are you passionate about equipping young people with the hands-on skills and knowledge for a successful career in construction? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Construction Teacher to join our secondary school team, inspiring the next generation of builders, architects, and engineers.

About the Role:
As our Construction Teacher, you will lead engaging, practical lessons that introduce students to the fundamentals of construction, from design and planning to safety. You’ll be responsible for developing curriculum content that connects classroom theory with real-world application, preparing students for apprenticeships, further education, or direct entry into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver practical and theoretical lessons in construction techniques, safety practices, and industry standards.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and develop their skills.
  • Assess and track students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support for all learning levels.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate construction learning with related subjects, such as mathematics, physics, and design technology.
  • Ensure the safety of all students by maintaining a well-organized and hazard-free workshop and classroom environment.
  • Engage with local businesses and construction professionals to create real-world learning opportunities and support students’ career ambitions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, with a background in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry experience in construction is essential; teaching experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, a passion for hands-on teaching, and an ability to connect with secondary school students.
  • Commitment to inspiring and guiding young people as they develop practical skills and explore career pathways in construction.
