We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service & Repair Engineer who specialises in Welding to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is looking for someone to be based in Milton Keynes but willing to travel across the UK with overnight stays expected. You must be within commutable distance of Milton Keynes and have a strong welding background.

Responsibilities of theField Service & Repair Engineer - Welding

  •  3-5 days out visiting clients depending on customer needs
  • Repair and service of welding systems including inverters, torches, hose packs and automated systems
  • Undertake servicing and calibration of welding equipment including software installation and update
  • Provide support to customers and troubleshoot both at the customer premises and at the main centre, by phone and by email
  • Providing pre and after-sales support including supporting company trade fairs, exhibitions and events
  • Maintaining and managing stock levels and participation in yearly stock take

Requirements for a successful Field Service & Repair Engineer - Welding

  • Relevant electrical qualifications to carry out electrical repairs
  • Strong knowledge of manual electrode, TIG and MIG/MAG welding processes
  • Good IT skills, such as MS Office, CRM systems and SharePoint
  • Customer-oriented, Organised, and motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Flexibility with a willingness to travel across the UK
  • Cost-conscious
  • Full driving license is essential for this role
