Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours:Monday Friday8:30am 4:30pm

The role

As the HardwareTest Development Engineeryour role will involve the following important duties:

• Facilitate design, development and support of test systems for power and magnetic products.
• 70% hardware test development and 30% software based.
• Organise and perform project work.
• Design of in-house test equipment and ancillary departmental systems (hardware and software).
• Primary Test Platform software development support.
• Generate plans for new work and oversee technician work.
• Provide technical support.
• Maintain parametric data on test parameters.
• Facilitate repair and calibration of Test systems.

The experience required

As a successful HardwareTest Development Engineer, you will have the following:

• Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a hardware and power/electronics environment.
• Educated to degree level in the Electronics field or time served as a Test Development Engineer.
• Familiarity with principles of testing of power components (DC-DC Converters primarily).
• Experience with NI TestStand and test fixture design essential.
• Knowledge of C# or other .NET languages essential.
• Automation Experience particularly in Manufacturing/Test Environment.
