About the Role:Quality Personnel is currently seeking a Purchasing Administrator for our client on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of service and support within the purchasing function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to quickly integrate into an established team, while also contributing to process improvement and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily review of buyer workbench using the ERP system
  • Raising, maintaining, and expediting Purchase Orders (stock and non-stock)
  • Preparing pricing quotes for various departments (design, sales, intercompany, and incoming freight)
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Managing part parameters, stocking levels, and price lists on ERP system
  • Mitigating and notifying cost increases
  • Creating part numbers as needed
  • Preparing and reviewing supplier KPIs to improve delivery performance and stock availability
  • Reviewing and maintaining departmental training resources

Key Performance Criteria:

  • Meeting and adhering to set KPIs and performance targets.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in purchasing administration or a similar role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (Epicor is an advantage).
  • Qualification: Aspiring to study CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering drawings is an advantage.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
    • Proactive with a "can-do" attitude.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment.
