About the Role:Quality Personnel is currently seeking a Purchasing Administrator for our client on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of service and support within the purchasing function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to quickly integrate into an established team, while also contributing to process improvement and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily review of buyer workbench using the ERP system
- Raising, maintaining, and expediting Purchase Orders (stock and non-stock)
- Preparing pricing quotes for various departments (design, sales, intercompany, and incoming freight)
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Managing part parameters, stocking levels, and price lists on ERP system
- Mitigating and notifying cost increases
- Creating part numbers as needed
- Preparing and reviewing supplier KPIs to improve delivery performance and stock availability
- Reviewing and maintaining departmental training resources
Key Performance Criteria:
- Meeting and adhering to set KPIs and performance targets.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in purchasing administration or a similar role.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (Epicor is an advantage).
- Qualification: Aspiring to study CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering drawings is an advantage.

- Proactive with a "can-do" attitude.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment.
