Insight Employment seeking an Assistant Procurement Executive for our local client based in Milton Keynes.

Our client, as a leading supplier in the Automotive Aftermarket Engine part field, are seeking a confident individual to work under the guidance of our procurement team within their busy office.

The Role: -

This position would be working within the Group as part of a team, of which two Companies would fall under the successful candidate’s remit.

The companies have a combined turnover of just over £15mil. Targeted sales turnover figures of £20mil is expected within the next 5 years, hopefully sooner.

The client is a leading supplier of engine components to the independent automotive trade since 1981. They purchase their product direct from source, so direct from manufacturers, so the right person must have a good understanding of communication and be willing to communicate directly with suppliers around the world. They have a dedicated QA team to fully qualify their products, so with the assurance of our CMM (coordinate measuring machine) they can offer products to their customers with confidence in their performance.

Over the last 4 decades, they have been working to a single objective: to deliver the highest quality products at competitive prices with unparalleled levels of customer service and aftercare.

The right candidate would work closely with the procurement team and the Purchase Director.

The right person would need to be "Driven, work to a good routine to achieve their maximum potential".

Key Skill Requirements: -

  • Already have worked within this Industry & environment
  • Be Confident
  • Good Presentational Skills
  • Excellent Communicational Skills at all levels (telephone, email, one to one)
  • Computer Literate - Good understanding of computer programmes, Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft, etc. so have a good understanding of IT
  • Understanding of MAMSOFTWARE (Autopart) (advantageous)
  • Work to deadlines
  • Good Planning ability
  • Work to a good routine
  • Be Part of a Team
  • Willing to take on new Challenges & be trained
  • Be flexible and self-driven
  • Attention to Detail
  • Understanding of Net-Stock (advantageous)

How this would work: -

Would be assistant to Global Procurement Manager, where you would be trained to work extensively on NET STOCK (software programme that is used for procurement for both Companies)

You would need to analyse through net stock and MAM Autopart, place orders, chase orders and arrange imports through freight forwarders.

Some orders would be directly given to them from Directors to be placed on suppliers, so would be a certain amount of admin and data input.

Salary: -

30k per annum
