Quantity Surveyor (Hybrid) - Milton Keynes - Up to 60K (Dependant on experience)

A career minded Quantity Surveyor is being sought to join a growing construction business in Milton Keynes, with the opportunity of working remote two days a week.

Tradeline areworking on behalf of a construction and interiors business in Milton Keynes who have an 11m turnover, expected to rise to 14m in 2025, working within Education, Commercial and Healthcare sectors. They in total have 30+ staff across the business.

A Quantity Surveyor is required to join their expanding business and support the Commercial Director. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyorwho can carry out Post Contract work. You will play a pivotal role in delievering Commercial activities for the business and as the Commercial Department grow, you will be the first in line to run the department in the future.

Responsibilities to include but not exclusive to:

  • Oversee material and subcontract buying and POs.
  • Issue and negotiation of labour rates with subcontractors.
  • Attending projects to undertake valuations of work completed.
  • Assisting with pricing of variations throughout the project and supporting the delivery team.
  • Attending scoping meetings for new projects.
  • Carrying out tenders as required.
  • Management of cross-project valuation tracker.

Typically projects value from 20k to 1.5m and you will be managing up to 3 or 4 projects at any one stage.

The project background of the QS is not an issue, the company are really focused on getting the right person with the right persoanlity who can be a team player and have the motivation to grow within a company.
