About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to secondary students, ensuring they develop strong literacy skills and a love for the subject. You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Support and challenge students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school staff to support the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience teaching English at a secondary school level.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
