Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of English to join our school in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching English, fostering a love of literature and language, and helping students reach their full potential. This permanent role begins in January 2024 and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative English lessons to students across a range of abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes a passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support development and improvement.
- Collaborate with the English department to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the school community, supporting students' academic and personal growth.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English literature and language.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to promoting high standards of learning and academic achievement.
- Experience in delivering the English curriculum at secondary level.
