Position Overview:
An Ofsted-rated Good school in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of English to join their team from January 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons, supporting students' development in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic progress.
- Monitor and assess student work, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to enhance curriculum delivery.
- Participate in school activities, supporting students both academically and personally.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
- Previous experience in teaching English at secondary level is desirable.
