We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join my client’s school. This role offers a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The HLTA will play a crucial role in supporting our teaching staff and enhancing student learning experiences.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons across various subjects.
- Work under the guidance of the teaching staff to support educational activities in the classroom.
- Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups to help them achieve their full potential.
- Manage classroom resources and setup for lessons.
- Monitor and assess students' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
- Be willing to lead classes and teach independently in the afternoons.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must possess Level 3 HLTA qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and classroom practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
