The Company:

We have recently completed a £12 million extension to our factory, enabling us to increase our production capacity. Additionally, we invested £4 million in high-risk automation and cutting-edge technology last year to stay ahead of the curve. We are currently underway with phase one of a four-phase amenity refurbishment project, with an initial investment of £1 million. Due to expansion we need talented automation / manufacturing / production engineers to join the team.

The site itself is a fast-paced manufacturing site with high technology products and highly regulated processes. Within the small maintenance team you will be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance as well continuous improvement and various projects over the next 5 years. This will include working with both electrical and mechanical equipment such as three phase motors, hydraulics, plc systems, conveyors, ovens / cookers, grinder, choppers, vacuum fillers, packaging equipment and more.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a FMCG or Food manufacturing environment as a multiskilled maintenance engineer.
  • Manage a range of maintenance tasks, including both proactive and reactive work, as well as contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, with a focus on taking personal ownership of one's workload and responsibilities.
  • You must possess a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, such as an NVQ, ONC, HNC, or HND.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and skilled in performing maintenance and repair tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
