Our client is a well-established organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of young people. they operate a Children's Residential Home, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young individuals with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). They are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of these young individuals, guiding them towards a brighter future.

Shift Pattern: 1 on 2 off (including sleep in)

Pay: £24,835.00-£28,750.0 DOE (Plus £6,000 - £7,500 in sleep in bonus')

Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Childcare Workers to join our team. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for supporting a young person with EBD in our Children's Residential Home. Your role will involve providing emotional support, guidance, and a stable environment, enabling the young person to thrive and overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to the young person with EBD
  • Foster a positive and supportive living environment
  • Implement behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate with the team to create individualised care plans
  • Promote a sense of belonging and emotional well-being
  • Ensure the safety and security of the young person at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in residential childcare or a related field
  • NVQ 3 in "Residential Childcare" or "Children and Young People's Workforce" (essential for senior role)
  • Understanding of Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and appropriate support strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude
  • Flexibility to work on a shift pattern of 1 on 2 off
