We are a working with an Outstanding Independent Fostering Agency who are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

In this position you would be working from the comfort of your own home, alongside a very supportive and friendly team of social workers within this region of the agency. The caseload of carers will be around 10 and when going out to visits, your mileage will be covered at 45ppm from your home address.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Support Foster Carers: Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to provide quality care to children.

  • Reviews: Regularly review and monitor the progress and wellbeing of children in placement.

  • Compliance and Safeguarding: Ensure all fostering activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and agency policies. Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and activities, ensuring confidentiality and data protection protocols are followed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Social Work Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Social Work, with current registration with Social Work England.

  • Experience: Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in fostering (Independent Fostering or Local Authority), with a strong understanding of fostering regulations and best practices.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
