Key Responsibilities

The Service Manager will manage a busy and vibrant registered home in Milton keynes, as well as a nearby small supported living service. You’ll lead a dedicated staff team, including a deputy manager, senior support workers, and support workers, to create a person-centered and dynamic environment.

Your team is your strongest asset. You’ll be a visible, hands-on leader, mentoring and guiding staff, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources. You’ll work with your team to provide support that’s both innovative and genuinely person-centered, enhancing the lives of those in your care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting "Everyone Everywhere" initiatives that encourage inclusivity and quality of life.
  • Overseeing team schedules, budget management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Providing on-call support within the area.
  • Ensuring high standards of care that meet CQC registration and compliance requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in supporting people with learning disabilities and related conditions. Knowledge of dementia and other age-associated conditions is desirable but not essential.
  • A Level 5 or higher professional qualification in social care is preferred.
  • Strong leadership experience in social care, with an ambition for continuous improvement.
  • Skills in relationship-building with external professionals, social work teams, families, and local communities.
  • Organizational proficiency, budgeting skills, and familiarity with IT systems.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation for travel between services and for attending meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
