The role involves utilising knowledge and expertise to support the team, ensuring the best outcomes for children in care.The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with CIC and adoption, having held a CIC focused role within the last five years.Due to the nature of the work, the role requires local and occasional longer-distance travel Main Office Location: Civic Centre, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJThe team is deeply committed to learning and self-development, and meet every two weeks to discuss various topics with a team member leading the session, such as practice models, tools, and ideas.This collaborative approach fosters a strong sense of unity and partnership.Team Structure:The team consists of a Team Manager, a Deputy Manager, 4 Senior Practitioners, 14 Social Workers and 2 Social Worker AssistantsKey responsibilities :• Chairing multi-disciplinary meetings and collaborating with other agenciesand professionals to complete assessments and develop child-centered careplans.• Conducting annual Children and Family Assessments to ensure care plans areup-to-date and reflect the child’s needs.• Ensuring children’s daily care needs are met and that they have acomprehensive understanding of their care journey through direct work, lifestory work, and collaboration with other professionals.• Managing a caseload of up to 18 children, including those subject to CareOrders, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, children placed withparents, and those under Placement Orders.• Contributing to the team’s growth by sharing knowledge, enhancing skills,and supporting the overall development of the team.Working Arrangements :The Social Workers are primarily based on-site, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. These remote working days are flexible, and there are no fixed office or home days. However, if there is a need to be in the office, the Social Worker must be able to travel and be present as required
