Our Client, Milton Keynes Council, is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their MASH/Assessment Team

Responsibilities of this role:

  • The role will consist of rotating between Children & Families Assessments one week, and then S47s the other (if ABE trained) . During an assessment week, the worker is allocated 3x C&Fs across the week which is arranged by our Customer Liaison Officers. The worker will visit the family, write up the C&F and make a decision regarding the outcome. During this week, there are opportunities to work from home on the days they don’t have assessments.

Working as a child protection social worker within the MASH teamAs part of this role;

  • Complete children and families assessments including a home visits.  
  • Respond to s47 enquiries.
  • Attend strategy meetings and initial family support meetings.
  • Working within a multi-agency setting with other professionals including police, health, probation.
  • Ability to assess risk and prioritise case load.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years’ post qualified experience.
