Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier One Property Services Contractor based in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will work on planned maintenance projects within the social housing sector, delivering essential refurbishments that improve the quality of life for tenants. About the Role: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects. Working both from the office and on-site, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading on social housing refurbishment projects, such as kitchen, bathroom, window, door, and roofing replacements.
  • Collaborating closely with operational teams in Milton Keynes to manage contracts across the region, ensuring cost efficiency and project profitability.
  • Obtaining and evaluating information to determine realistic costs for the supply of works, materials, and services.
  • Monitoring contract progress, assessing any changes that may impact costs or timelines, and liaising with contractors, suppliers, and clients to meet project requirements.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment and monthly valuation reports.
  • Supporting contract managers with project specifications and requirements, and providing value assessments for subcontractors.

About You: To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the social housing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of refurbishments and maintenance projects within tenanted properties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in IT, especially MS Office.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements).
  • The ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • The role requires a DBS check.
