Our client, a national and respected Children’s Charity are looking to recruit 6 Youth Workers to provide youth work provisions across their Cotswold and Stroud based Youth Centres.
Â
They are looking for experienced Youth Workers who can join them in developing and embedding innovative Youth Support Services.
Â
You will play a key role in delivering a high standard of youth work (including planning and participating in activities, workshops, community outreach and other recreational activities), and supporting young people with their needs and interests.
Â
You will be developing, coordinating and delivering impactful youth activities and you will be working with young people from a range of backgrounds many of whom with have/ are experiencing challenges and barriers to education and within their family and communities.
Â
You will be working to establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, to build rapport and support them to try new activities, to identify goals and aspirations and to access services and additional support.
Â
You will be working to create a safe and welcoming environment where young people can feel supported, valued and that their voice is heard (and appreciated).

Essential Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in Youth Work, Education, Health and Social Care, Residential Care and/ or a related field (or willing to work toward a youth work qualification)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of youth support work/ working with children and young people in a similar setting
- Understanding of current youth issues and challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building trust and establishing positive working relationships with young people
- Understanding of safeguarding and risk management
