Full Stack Senior Software Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes, UK
Are you a seasoned Full Stack Software Engineer with a passion for cloud technologies and innovation? We're looking for a talented professional to join a leading company in wireless remote condition monitoring technology. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge products used in over 35 countries across industries like rail, construction, and mining.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable front-end and back-end software systems for cloud deployment using multiple programming languages.
- Conduct testing and peer reviews of existing implementations, infrastructure, and related processes in line with software development standards.
- Automate IT infrastructure tasks, including scripting for environment management, in accordance with company processes and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR.
- Design well-architected, maintainable cloud-based solutions using principles like design patterns and SOLID.
- Perform technical design reviews and develop proof-of-concept solutions for deployment to production services.
- Lead development projects and advocate for DevOps principles, extending to AI/MLOps.
- Provide support and training to delivery teams to maximize efficiency.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of commercial experience with Azure, including IAM/AAD, keyvault, S3/blob storage, lambdas/azure functions, web apps, queues, databases, and managed services/products (e.g., DynamoDB/cosmosDB).
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including scripting with Typescript/Javascript, Python, and using web frameworks (e.g., React, Node, Flask).
- 2+ years of experience in serverless architecture, event-driven architecture, microservices, and API-driven cloud-based products, including performance management.
- 2+ years of experience in agile methodologies, ideally via Jira.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines on git-based commercial source control or similar (e.g., GitHub including Actions, GitLab, Bitbucket).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience developing in Golang.
- Experience developing/configuring and publishing dashboards (ideally via Grafana or PowerBI).
- Linux Server Administration, including container technology & ecosystem (Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus) linked to AAD.
- Experience in telecommunications and similar regulated verticals and environments.
- Working knowledge of ISO 27000, ITIL, or similar regulated environments.
- Exposure to CRM & ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, MS Dynamics).
- Exposure to networking, telecommunications, and the OSI model.
