As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of complex software systems, working closely with solution architects, industry experts, and academia to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

This role requires technical expertise across the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation to deployment and ongoing maintenance. You will contribute to software architecture, secure DevOps practices, and cloud-based deployments while ensuring high standards of security, efficiency, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Architecture* Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications across front-end and back-end systems.* Create scalable, high-performance APIs and services for secure integration.* Implement software best practices, including version control, testing, and automation.* Work with secure cloud-based solutions and containerized environments.System Integration & Deployment* Assist in the integration of open-source software components into enterprise-level solutions.* Deploy and maintain software across secure air-gapped environments and private cloud platforms.* Ensure smooth interoperability between different platforms, databases, and third-party systems.Security & Compliance* Implement secure coding practices and follow UK government security standards.* Work with DevOps teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain software in secure environments.* Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory requirements.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement* Work closely with customers, solution architects, and project managers to align software solutions with business needs.* Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and cross-functional teams.
Key Requirements? Education (Desirable): Degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.? Technical Skills:* Front-end development: React (preferred), JavaScript/TypeScript.* Back-end development: Java (preferred), Python, Spring framework.* Database expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL databases and data modeling.* API development: Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.* Operating Systems: Proficiency in both Microsoft and Linux environments.* DevOps & Deployment: Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployment strategies.* Security Clearance: SC required (DV preferred).? Desirable Experience:* Experience working in public sector, defence, or security-focused environments.* Exposure to Scaled Agile frameworks and large-scale DevOps practices.* Knowledge of AI-driven solutions and GPU-based architectures.
