The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN and additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, both inside and outside the classroom.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN and additional needs.
  • Assisting within the classroom to help students engage with their learning.
  • Supporting students with their academic progress across KS3-KS4.
  • Creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers to implement learning strategies and interventions.
Requirements:

To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant role, you must have:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Previous UK classroom experience.
  • Experience working with SEN students and additional needs.
  • Confidence in providing 1:1 and small group support outside the classroom.
  • Strong academic and curriculum knowledge at KS3-KS4 level.
