We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team in an SEN secondary school based in Milton Keynes, where you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to help our students thrive both academically and personally.

About the Role:As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to assist students with diverse learning needs. You’ll provide one-on-one and small group support, adapting materials and techniques to suit each student’s unique needs. This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, patient, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning by helping them access lessons and complete activities to the best of their abilities.
  • Work alongside teachers to implement individual learning plans (ILPs) tailored to each student's strengths and challenges.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment, encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and positive social interactions.
  • Assist in classroom management and behavior support to ensure a calm, conducive learning space.
  • Work with students both in and outside of the classroom, including during breaks and transition times, providing additional guidance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure consistent, comprehensive support for each student.
