Job Description:

TimePlan Education is looking for dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in Milton Keynes. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them achieve their full potential in an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Assist teachers in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting classroom activities to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Manage and support students with challenging behaviors, using appropriate strategies to promote positive behavior and learning.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.
  • Assist with classroom management, preparation, and organization to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Young People: Proven experience working with young people in any capacity.
  • SEN Experience: Prior experience supporting students with SEN is essential.
  • Challenging Behaviour Experience: Experience managing and supporting students with challenging behaviors is crucial.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortability: Ability to handle and adapt to various situations with patience and understanding.
  • DBS on Update Service: A valid DBS check registered on the update service is essential.
