About the Role:We are working closely with a specialist SEN provision catering to students aged 11-17 who face significant behavioural and SEMH challenges. This dedicated school is seeking an Employability Teacher to provide targeted support in developing key life skills, such as CV writing, interview preparation, and job readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons focused on employability skills, including job searching, CV writing, and interview techniques.
  • Support students in developing their confidence, self-esteem, and ability to thrive in real-world scenarios.
  • Implement and promote positive behaviour management strategies to address behavioural challenges, helping students manage their emotions and interactions.
  • Develop tailored interventions to support students with SEMH needs, ensuring their emotional well-being and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with SEN staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Help students develop life skills that enable them to transition successfully into employment or further education.

Non-Negotiables:

  • Full-time commitment: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
  • UK Experience: Minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK with students with SEMH needs and/or behavioural challenges.
  • DBS Requirement: A valid DBS registered on the Update Service is essential.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility and creativity in developing lessons and strategies tailored to the individual needs of students.
