About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering tailored educational support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans (IEPs) to cater to the diverse needs of students.

  • Provide differentiated lessons that support the learning and development of pupils with SEN.

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and development.

  • Utilise a range of teaching techniques and resources to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and relevant professionals.

  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN coordinators, external specialists, and other educators to ensure consistent support for students.

  • Contribute to the development of whole-school SEN policies and strategies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and intervention plans.

  • Support students in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student confidence and independence.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive learning experiences.

  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Minimum of 6 months UK experience in a teaching role.

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.

  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, interventions, and inclusive teaching practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  • Additional qualifications in SEN or related fields.

  • Experience using adaptive technologies and resources to support SEN pupils.

  • Knowledge of relevant safeguarding and child protection procedures.
