SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) - Milton Keynes Primary School

We are looking for an experienced and passionate SENDCo to join our dedicated team at a primary school in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the provision of SEND support across the school, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

About the Role:

  • Part-time/full-time position (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Lead and manage the SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of individual support plans (EHCPs) for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure high-quality differentiated teaching for pupils with SEND
  • Liaise with parents, carers, external agencies, and the local authority to support pupils' needs
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of SEND pupils, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a recognised SENDCo qualification or be working towards one (NASENCo preferred)
  • Be an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with SEND
  • Have a thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the EHCP process
  • Possess excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education and have experience working with a range of special needs
  • Be organised, resilient, and able to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
