CRB Check Requirement:This role requires an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.

Role Overview:The primary objective of this role is to provide exceptional repairs and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct annual stock condition surveys.
  • Generate work orders for both in-house teams and external contractors through the Qube system.
  • Prepare clear and precise reports using Office applications and specialized software.
  • Collaborate with the Clerk of Works to manage contractor performance.
  • Inspect buildings, identify defects, and create specifications for remedial work.
  • Plan and implement thermal improvement projects, particularly for older or listed buildings.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and compile detailed reports.
  • Monitor and track the progress of contractors.
  • Partner with the Clerk of Works and other team members to manage various contracts, including preparing tender documentation and overseeing the execution of contracted works.
  • Handle project programming, financial oversight, and administrative tasks.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for building works.
  • Update and maintain computerized records.
  • Ensure full knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety protocols, including CDM regulations.
  • Be available for on-call duties as part of a rotating schedule.

GDPR Compliance:

  • Adhere to the data protection policy, following all relevant procedures and guidelines.
  • Access only the data you are authorized to view and inform IT of any unintentional access to restricted data.
  • Ensure compliance with retention schedules for documents containing personal data, regardless of where they are stored (e.g., email, business filing systems, or third-party software).
  • Immediately report any instances of data loss.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with the Estates’ fire safety and emergency procedures.
  • Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
  • Follow reasonable instructions issued by management.
  • Participate in the Management and Reactive Service Team's on-call rota and the Estates Fire Salvage Team.
