EAC are representing a Market Leading Organisation who are on the lookout for a Technical Sales Engineer. The office is based just outside of Milton Keynes so driving is essential.

Responsible for selling the products to new and existing business customers from sales enquires. Selecting, sizing and costing each product. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background, ideally in engineering or manufacturing, looking to further develop their sales and customer support skills.

Salary £35,000

Duties for the Technical Sales Engineer

  • Handle incoming customer enquiries by telephone and email, entering details into the CRM system.
  • Determine the required replacement parts based on customer queries and provide accurate product information.
  • Compile and send quotations for spare parts to customers and follow up by phone to close sales.
  • Finding solutions using a wide array of products
  • Compiling and sending quotations to customers
  • Assisting the Sales/Marketing Rep with technical product / application information they require
  • Assisting the Contracts Department with technical product / application information they require
  • Answering technical questions
  • Providing customers with pre and after-sales technical advice
  • Carrying out on site surveys if required
  • Producing and editing AutoCAD drawings
  • Check customer purchase orders prior to acceptance.
  • Handling of orders and managing contracts for special bought in products
  • Liasing with suppliers both technically & commercially and assisting with procurement of parts
  • Attend internal technical sales meetings
  • Some new business development may be required

Qualifications & Competences:

  • Strong technical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous technical sales experience, ideally within Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • An Engineering/Technical qualification is an advantage.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sales and negotiation expertise with a proven ability to close deals.
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Must own a car and hold a full, clean driving license.
