Our client has a vacancy for a Technical Sales Support Electrical Engineer with a strong electrical bias. Experience with serial interface, PLC’s or Electric drives would be advantageous. The role will be to provide support to customers and the sales force team for technical matters. Commercial and

market awareness of the product. Supporting sales growth by training and proactive promotion of existing and new products.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am till 4.45pm, Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the external sales team to support and enhance market share growth.

Provide technical support through phone, emails, Teams calls, Webinars, and site visits.

Develop and deliver bite-size training sessions to educate both SMC staff and customers.

Continuously develop your skills and knowledge in the industry.

Investigate and analyse product field failures, providing detailed reports and recommendations.

Work on developing proposals for new products to meet current and future customer needs.

Conduct market and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends.

Contribute to the introduction of new products, ensuring they align with customer requirements.

Take part in Industry events and exhibitions.

Requirements:

A Degree or HND Qualification in electronics, electromechanical or other engineering discipline.

Methodical problem solver organised and able to keep clear and comprehensive records.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This role demands someone with the ability to be understood using a lot of communication channels.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Hands on testing and diagnostics experience.

Have technical knowledge paired with a degree of sales understanding would be of benefit.

Enthusiasm for energy-saving initiatives and sustainability.

Willingness to travel UK Customer sites to support Sales activities and resolve technical issues.
