Industrious Recruitment is seeking anexperienced Toolmaker to join one of our clients based in Milton Keynes.This role is ideal for someone with a background in engineering and manufacturing who enjoys hands-on work and has a keen eye for detail. As a Toolmaker, you will play a crucial part in the fabrication, modification, and maintenance of tooling equipment used in our production processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Tooling Fabrication, Maintenance & Repair: Manufacture, modify, and repair tooling as per specifications.
  • Collaborate with Design & Manufacturing Engineers: Work closely with engineers to ensure tooling is designed and produced to high standards.
  • Fault Investigation: Strip down and assess tooling for any faults, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective solutions.
  • Manual Machining & Mechanical Assembly: Carry out tasks such as milling, turning, grinding, and mechanical assembly of components.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete required reports and documentation for tooling projects and machined components.
  • Training & Development: Participate in training on new technologies, including 3D printing and CNC machines.

Requirements to be Successful:

  • Experience: Previous hands-on experience as a Toolmaker in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing, or Toolmaking through formal education or apprenticeship programs.
  • Manual Machining Skills: Confident with manual operations such as milling, turning, and grinding.
  • Reading Technical Drawings: Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings accurately
