JOB - Production Engineer (Robotics & Automation)

LOCATION - Milton Keynes

TERM - PERM

SALARY - 30,000 - 50,000

We are looking for a Manufacturing, Production, Process or Industrialisation Engineer on a permanent basis in the Milton Keynes area.

Core Tasks:

  • Review engineering aspects of customer orders.
  • Create and maintain accurate BOM and work order data.
  • Address and support drawing issues/changes with production.
  • Administer controlled builds and ensure accurate manufacturing BOMs.
  • Collaborate with production to enhance engineering specifications.
  • Conduct hands-on analysis, problem-solving, and process development.
  • Optimize operations and engineering specifications.
  • Develop and implement cellular manufacturing principles.
  • Achieve high standards through 5S and Visual Factory techniques.
Automation Specialist Tasks:

  • Specify, set up, and commission new robotic equipment.
  • Generate and adjust programs for existing products.
  • Design, plan, and implement automation solutions.
  • Monitor automated weld integrity.
  • Oversee control and procedures for MIG, MAG, GMAW, and TIG welding.
  • Integrate new processes and improve existing ones.
  • Manage documentation and performance reports.
  • Train others in automated/robotic welding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics/Engineering or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of robotic applications and programming.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
