Mechanical Technician (Day Shift)

c£50,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Milton Keynes (Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm)

MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance team at a state-of-the-art Energy from Waste facility in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically skilled technician to focus on planned and preventative maintenance across a multi-technology waste management and power generation site.

As the Day Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Performing proactive mechanical maintenance activities
• Conducting inspections, PPM checks, and condition monitoring
• Communicating issues through CMMS to ensure timely resolution
• Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times
• Supporting team briefings and contributing to toolbox talks
• Working with safe systems of work including risk assessments and permits
• Bringing specialist expertise in areas such as gas engines, steam turbines, steam valves, or hydraulic systems
• Working a day shift Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A relevant mechanical qualification
• Experience in Energy from Waste, Petrochemical, or Power sectors
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Skills in any of the following are advantageous: Coded Welding, Pressure Vessels, CHP systems, Steam Turbines, Steam Valves
