We have a surgery on the West Somerset Coast seeking an on-site prescribing pharmacist for a permanent role. The site are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated primary care pharmacist to join the existing multidisciplinary team.
Further details Permanent pharmacist Prescriber role:
- Part time role - 30 hours per week
- Salary - up to £50,000 annual DoE for the FTE ( full times hours are 40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Provide remote services to registered patients, offering advice on medicines, repeat prescriptions, and general pharmaceutical queries.
- Assist our primary care site with prescribing, audits, and managing high-risk drugs to ensure safe, effective patient care.
- Assess patients’ knowledge and socio-economic factors, tailoring advice to meet individual needs.
- Prescribe urgent medications using summary care records to ensure accurate re-prescribing.
- Identify and manage clinical risks and health queries, ensuring patient safety and optimal care.
- Act on any child or adult protection concerns arising from health and medication calls, following set protocols.
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams (MDT) to support service delivery and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
- Record accurate, timely information and advice within clinical systems and electronic databases.
- Uphold General Pharmaceutical Council standards of ethics, conduct, and performance in all aspects of practice.
- Participate in continuous professional development, working with colleagues to improve services and patient care.
