Surveyor

My client is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.

They are looking to expand their team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver a tunnelling project in the beautiful region of Snowdonia, North Wales. The project work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying a network of overhead cables and removing a number of pylons to restore and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape.

The project requires a Surveyor who will be responsible for the monitoring and surveying activities on site in a safe and efficient way.

If this role is for you, you will liaise with the client to check the setting out information being used is the latest available and provide the existing site control to the construction team, and / or establishing site control where required.

The role will require you to ensure data, reports and/or drawings of setting out and as-built surveys are produced accurately and in a timely manner and ensure difficult setting out tasks and dimensional check of elements are delivered with high accuracy requirements.

It is essential that you have a Civil Engineering Degree or similar with at least 3 years of experience. Advanced geodetic surveying and deformation monitoring skills are also required.

You will need to apply technical and practical skills to implement the requirements of drawings and specifications and ensure work is produced within clear guidelines, set goals and strive to achieve required results consistently.

You must have good knowledge of legislation, hazards and safe systems of work and have the ability to prioritise objectives and capable of completing work to deadlines.
