Job Overview

A design and manufacture specialist company are looking for a talented and creative Design Engineer to join their innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering background, attention to detail, and a passion for developing advanced designs. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing our products, taking them from initial concept to full production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design functional components, sub-systems, and assemblies.
  • Manage full product design life-cycle, from initial concept through to manufacturing.
  • Contribute mechanical design expertise to develop new systems or enhance existing ones.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM & DFA) principles.
  • Create CAD models, parts, and assemblies that align with functional requirements, geometric tolerances, and manufacturing standards.
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers.
  • Generate precise manufacturing documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to facilitate new product introductions.

Skills and Experience

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques and processes.
  • Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) and engineering change request processes.
  • Broad understanding of engineering principles and materials technology is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing best practices and design for manufacture.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
