Our products are made with meticulous attention to detail in our London workshops and all installations are carried out by our own teams of dedicated, highly skilled craftsmen, installers and decorators.


We are looking for an enthusiasticand well-motivated Bench joiner to join the team at award winning SPS Timber Windows Mitcham.

The right candidate should have good practical skills and experience using hand tools, have pride in their work and a close attention to detail.

You should have recent experience in joinery workshops including using tenoning machines, spindle moulders and planning machines with some on site experience also.

You will need to be able to produce traditional box sash windows, traditional casement windows and French doors from start to finish and have excellent attention to detail.

Experience in programming and using CNC and / or window line machines and bring up to date with modern manufacturing techniques would be useful.

As well as assisting in all aspects of manufacturing and assembling, and assisting with onsite installation as required you will also work with the workshop manager in planning and organising the production schedule including supervising other members of staff.

This job involves all aspects of manufacturing , glazing and finishing of high quality timber windows and doors. Other duties may include assisting in the assembly of and/ or the onsite installation of high quality timber windows and doors.

Must have some of experience of working with wood whether this has been in a joinery workshop or an associated field such as furniture manufacturing.

This job will mainly be based in our workshops in Mitcham combined with onsite work assisting with the installation of windows and doors too when required.

A Folk lift licence would be an advantage.

A driving licence would be an advantage.

Good level of communication in the English language.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate that has good attention to detail.

Standard 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.

Wage Details: Starting basic annual salary up to £32,000.00 gross PAYE per annum ( up to £16.35 per hour gross PAYE ) +\- dependent on skills/experience.

Plus Overtime, on week days x1.25 and Saturdays x1.5 when available and authorised*

Plus profit related bonus*

Plus work place pension contribution*

*qualifying period applies.

Salary paid monthly in arrears.

28 days paid holidays per annum (including 8 bank holidays). Qualifying period applies.

This job is based at our workshops in Mitch am CR4 4HR. Please take travel time into consideration when applying.
