As a well-established food manufacturing business we are seeking to recruit a Technical Manager to lead the Technical & Quality function.
This role requires flexibility and a hands-on approach as the Technical Manager will be visible on the Factory floor and will get involved with management of quality and technical systems, training of staff, overseeing internal auditing and hygiene checks.
The Technical Manager will take on a diverse range of responsibilities such as writing technical documentation for a Food Factory that will contain numerous production lines and a warehousing.
As the business expands and further production lines are commissioned, the Technical Manager will establish technical competency and implement robust technical systems. Â
Other duties will include technical system implementation, managing COSHH, and speaking with departmental heads to ensure food safety and compliance matters are understood.
There will be an opportunity to sit on senior management teams and add your influence and input into the strategic decisions and plans that will see the company grow and prosper.
We expect applicants to have experience of managing the Technical function within a busy food manufacturing site and experience preparing sites for internal and external audits including BRC and customer audits.
We are keen to hear from applicants with experience of implementing technical systems, traceability, GMP, HACCP, food laws, and regulatory compliance.
Salary £55,000 pa - £60,000 per annum + Benefits
