We are looking for an experienced Product Design Engineer to join our team at a leading lighting manufacturer in Mitcham. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in design engineering, with specific expertise in lighting design.
Product Design Engineer - Lighting Job Overview- Develop and expand the company's distinguished collection of antiques and modern reproductions with an emphasis on integrity and beauty.
- Design lighting and additional products for the company using SolidWorks.
- Participate actively in product development.
- Contribute to project management tasks.
- Proven experience in design engineering, ideally within the lighting industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong skills in creating high-quality technical drawings and CAD files for lighting and furniture.
- Comfortable with producing detailed drawings of components, assemblies, and exploded views based on original designs.
- Capable of working independently and proposing innovative engineering solutions for new product designs.
- Adaptable to fast-paced environments with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects related to new collection launches and bespoke projects.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, diverse materials, and installation techniques specific to the lighting sector.
- This position is perfect for a proactive professional who thrives on creativity and precision in design.
- Salary likely £40k-£45k dependent on experience
- Full time position based in Mitcham
- 08:30-16:00 (Some flexibility when needed)
