Our client is a family run business based in Surrey, specialising in the installation of sewer systems with commercial and domestic clients. The business operate in London and the surrounding areas and undertake projects from £3K to £2M. They focus heavily on building loyalty with their clients.

Due to continued growth they are now looking for an experienced and self - motivated Quantity Surveyor. This forward thinking individual will report to the Operations Director and will manage and report on multiple projects from the point of award to final account, and focus on mitigating any financial losses.

Experience

· At least five years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the industry of drainage/groundworks/civils

· Extensive experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Ideally use of a construction online project management system

· Experience in bringing in new initiatives and efficiencies to enable cost savings and increase profit margins - desirable

· Experience of implementing/developing relevant systems and/or processes relevant to the QS role - desirable

Qualifications/Certificates/Skills

· Qualifications - BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

· Member of RICS (or seeking professional membership)

· To be able to confidently read and interpret site plans, drawings and identify any variances.

· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

· Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Can communicate effectively with people at all levels.

· Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word

· Excellent prioritisation, multi-tasking, time management and planning skills

· Methodical, organised and efficient approach to duties

· Excellent at networking, building working relationships and reputation of company, in order to optimise business opportunities

· Drivers license essential

· Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
