Supported Housing assistant

BDS are currently recruiting for a supported housing assistant in Mitcham. 

The post will be based at a retirement complex for older adults who live independently. We are looking for someone with a friendly and happy demeanour to be the first point of contact for the residents of the service.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm or 8am to 4pm

Temporary ongoing position in the first instance though could become permanent for the right person.

Salary- £14.26ph PAYE plus holiday pay or cirac £18ph umbrella

Main duties

• Speaking with the residents daily
• Signposting information on other services, in and around the area.
• Checking the property for any repairs and reporting these as required,
• Liaising with contractors
• Health and safety checks of the building
• Assisting residents to understand paper work, bills etc. 

Experience in a similar role is essential.
You will have good PC skills, be approachable and have good organisation skills as well as previous experience within a housing related role. 

An enhanced DBS will be required, issued within the last 12 months or registered on the update service
