About the Role:
This is a highly rewarding, yet challenging position based in a small, forward-thinking school in Monmouth, focused on providing tailored support to students with SEMH and ASC needs. You'll work with students aged 7–16, helping to create a positive and supportive learning environment while enabling students to succeed and thrive. With small class sizes, you'll have the chance to build meaningful connections and provide individualised support to pupils who need it the most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of additional learning needs, including autism and SEMH.
- Encourage independence while offering personal care support when needed.
- Promote positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive and nurturing environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, carers, and staff.
- Assist in lesson preparation and delivery, including therapeutic activities.
- Support pupils with severe learning difficulties, ensuring they have the best possible school experience.
