Are you an Automation expert using new and emerging technologies to help your clients achieve their goals?

We are looking for a Digital & Automation Consultant to join our rapidly growing Automation Consulting Team at NHS Shared Business Services (SBS).

You will work closely with NHS clients to identify automation opportunities and cover the end to end automation lifecycle, identifying automation blockers, automation enablers, and articulating them to the client.

You will produce functional design document (FDD) to accurately capture the client’s requirement and transition the process into next stage of delivery, bringing understanding of business process/robotics to support development/testing during delivery.

This is a hybrid role with some travel required to our offices and client sites across the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Running the successful delivery of activities as part of an automation consulting project in order to achieve revenue targets and high levels of customer happiness.
  • Capturing and shaping automation consulting opportunities for clients, helping them re-imagine the future and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Understanding the risks, assumptions, and dependencies associated with the process.
  • Design and develop automation solutions using industry-leading tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate), ensuring adherence to internal coding standards and best practices.
  • Producing accurate documentation to capture requirements.
  • Supporting clients through UAT, deployment and with any issues.
  • Work with stakeholders to assess the ROI of automation projects, as well as the qualitative benefits that automation can deliver.

What you’ll bring:

  • Automation development experience.
  • Experience using an automation and robotics tool such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere.
  • Previous experience in a business process analyst or consulting role.
  • Ability to engage with clients and understand their requirements.
  • Ability to communicate technical language to non technical stakeholders in a way they understand.
  • Ability to lead project delivery.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
