Our client seeks a detailed and dynamic Planning Data manager to join our Planning team. The ideal candidate will manage and develop the planning data, the planning system capabilities, planning reporting and use in supporting the planning processes to deliver best in class customer service. This role will heavily support the planning processes, driving data-driven decision-making, and enhancing the team's reporting capabilities. You will work with senior stakeholders to fully understand, articulate and drive improvements to the finished goods supply planning process, customer service and the subsequent inventory management.

Main Duties

  • Work with Planning Process Managers to design, develop, and maintain effective business relevant reports and dashboards that provide insights into planning and performance metrics, inventory levels recommending relevant actions for process improvement.
  • Extract and manipulate data from SAP and other systems to inform reporting and analysis.
  • Drive the adoption of new reports and future dashboards across the planning and key business stakeholder teams. Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure effective use of reporting tools.
  • Lead the development of the planning tools and systems. This will include ERP updates and planning tool enhancements ensuring data integrity and accuracy aligning with all core business systems.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance process performance by utilizing planning data, ensuring alignment with best practice KPIs. Collaborating and recommending to planning process leads opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain clear documentation of dashboard sources, design specifications, and user guides to facilitate training and onboarding.
  • Management and development of the Planning Data Team including contingency best practices.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain planning management
  • Proven knowledge of Supply Chain planning in a fast paced, multi-tiered manufacturing and sourced product environment
  • Effective communication and relationship skills across all levels of the business including executive reporting. Ability to translate highly complex data to support effective decision making.
  • Passion for driving customer service
  • Willingness and appetite to successfully drive change across Supply Chain planning process and business improvements
  • Expert knowledge of Demand planning, Supply Planning, inventory management systems, best in class processes and metrics.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP desirable)
  • Experience of managing and leading teams is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (Power BI desirable)
  • Willing to travel internationally once per month (2/3 days per trip)
