Our client is a specialist manufacturing and distribution business and they are now looking to recruit a Management Accountant with manufacturing experience to join the growing finance team.This is a new position within the business, reporting directly to the Finance Director and youwill be an integral part of the finance team and the wider Company.
Key Accountabilities:
- Produce accurate monthly management account and presenting the information to the directors with commentary.
- Month end processes, journals, pre-payments and accruals, and reconciliation of the balance sheet.
- Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Providing insightful and meaningful investigations into process costs and variances; implementing and monitoring financial and operational costs.
- Cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis, recommending and executing corrective measures, updating standard costs, and ensuring stock is reconciled and correctly valued.
- Liaising with different departments to obtain operational and financial data, analysing, and interpreting this data and suggesting cost efficient ideas and improvements.
- Yearend account preparation.
- Experience in foreign exchange and export transactions is a distinct advantage
- Ad hoc projects as required including new system implementation.
