Escape Recruitment is working with a leading drinks manufacturer in North Lanarkshire to find an experienced Electrical Control Engineer. In this role, you'll be key to improving PLC, HMI, and automation systems, ensuring smooth production, minimising downtime, and driving efficiency improvements across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve PLC/HMI systems to enhance production efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair faults quickly to reduce downtime.
- Support the Project Engineering Team in delivering key projects.
- Develop and maintain PLC/Network standards for new projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Train and mentor colleagues on automation and programming.
- Work with external suppliers and contractors on control systems.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements and compliance.
What You Need:
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong PLC & automation experience (Siemens S7, TIA Portal preferred).
- Knowledge of networking systems (Profibus/ASIbus, Ethernet).
- Understanding of Servo Drives, Variable Speed Drives, and Fanuc Robot Systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and continuously improve processes.
