Collaborative & Friendly Team: You'll be part of a close-knit team where your contributions will be valued, and your commercial acumen will help others thrive.

  • Spot opportunities within the current customer base to introduce new product lines, driving additional revenue and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and lead the expansion of existing product lines into new geographic regions and industry sectors, ensuring successful market entry and growth.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, forecast potential challenges, and develop a three-year growth strategy to drive long-term success for the business.
  • Oversee all customer relationships across the business, directly managing key accounts and leading a team responsible for other client relationships.
  • Ensure the product range and pricing strategy deliver exceptional customer value while maximising business profitability.
  • Manage the sales pipeline across the business, collaborating with team members to maintain strong customer relationships and drive consistent performance.
  • Report on sales performance against targets and share valuable market insights and opportunities to inform business decisions and strategy.

What you need to apply for the Commercial Manager position:

  • Relationship Building: A proven long-term track record of quickly building rapport with customers, displaying a high degree of emotional intelligence and experience in using this to develop highly valued customer relationships.
  • Commercial Acumen: A demonstrated history of managing a P&L with a strong understanding of profitability. Ability to focus on areas of maximum impact and understanding that there are different reasons for taking projects on, not just their bottom-line impact.
  • Leadership: Extensive, well-developed team-first leadership skills with a proven long-term successful track record of working with all types of people, helping them to achieve their potential (for themselves and the business) and having empathetic but challenging conversations, if required, around performance or attitude.
  • Diligence & Organisation: A highly organised approach to new business development. Keeping a detailed record of contact points and conversations and following them up thoroughly.
  • Confidence & Tenacity: The confidence to pick up the phone and call people cold if needed. The tenacity to quietly keep on going until the goal of acquiring that new customer you know is right for the business is achieved.
