The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant / TA to work 1-1 with a year 6 pupil diagnosed with ASD on a part time basis (08:30 - 12:00 everyday). The role will focus on supporting the pupils academic progress by collaborating with the class teacher to ensure all work is completed and that the child feels supported emotionally. Experience of working with children with autism (ASD) or similar additional learning needs are essential for this role.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain clam in stressful situations
- Experience in working with additional learning needs
