Manpower is recruiting for a Senior process engineer for our client who are looking to expand and strengthen the Engineering Technical Solutions Team, on a permanent basis. They are one of the UK's leading responsive wastewater treatment company.

This role is based at the Monmouth Head Office / Centre of Excellence, where you will lead the technical team in designing, optimizing, and implementing wastewater treatment processes. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring efficient and effective water treatment for a variety of sectors, including Municipal, Industrial, and Environmental Protection, particularly in relation to major infrastructure and construction projects.

Reporting directly to the Technical Solutions Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and development of wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Performing detailed process designs and simulations to optimize treatment solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility and optimize options.
  • Supporting the development of laboratory experiments and pilot-scale studies to evaluate and validate treatment methods.
  • Assisting in the design, delivery, and commissioning of solutions, including producing standard deliverables such as P&IDs, Outline Drawings, Control Philosophies, and HAZOPs.
  • Researching and implementing new technologies, processes, and product partnerships to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential R&D opportunities to enhance solutions across all products and sectors.
  • Representing the company in meetings, delivering presentations, and conducting technical/commercial negotiations.
  • Providing technical training and mentoring both internally and externally.

About You:
We are seeking passionate candidates who are committed to making a difference in the water-environmental sector. Experience in the water industry is preferred, particularly with wastewater treatment and process design. However, your enthusiasm and practical approach to delivering responsive wastewater treatment solutions are what truly matter.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering degree in civil / mechanical / chemical / wastewater or other directly related degree
  • Chartered or incorporated engineer status and membership of a professional institution
  • Excellent technical, analysis, data interpretation skills & in identifying project / client needs
  • Proven work experience in water process engineering field
  • Expert in wastewater treatment technologies & detail process design
  • Sound knowledge of process related standards, design requirements & project delivery process
  • Optimisation & troubleshooting skills, related risk identification, management & mitigation
  • Report writing & documentation development
  • Staff supervision, mentoring & training
  • Desired - municipal water industry experience
  • Full uk driving licence
